Different Cups Around the World

There are three main types of cups: the US Cup (237 ml), the Australian metric cup (250 ml), and the British imperial cup (284 ml). When a recipe mentions "1 cup" without specification, it's generally the US Cup.

Tablespoons and Teaspoons

A tablespoon (tbsp) holds 15 ml, and a teaspoon (tsp) holds 5 ml. There are exactly 3 teaspoons in a tablespoon. These measurements are universally standardized.

Milliliters, Liters and Fluid Ounces
